NOTD: It’s Electric by Sinful Colors

14 Dec

Hello!

I have not done a nail post in forever so I wanted to put up a quick post on my nails today.

Image

The name of this beautiful polish is “It’s Electric” and it is by Sinful Colors.

I purchased it at Big Lots (Warehouse type store, department store products sold for cheap, not sure if it is all over or just MN or the midwest) for $1 which is crazy cheap. Especially considering the color pay off. I chose to do two thin layers because it dries quicker but I have done one thick(ish) layer that got the job done.

I wouldn’t say that the lasting strength is very high quality but with a decent top coat it lasts a few days before chipping and a few more before it becomes so noticeable I feel like I have to take it off.

Overall, I really like this polish and would recommend it to anyone on  budget.

Sincerely,

KS

Review: NYX Cream Blush in Glow

1 Jul

Image

(I am still playing around with the logo/picture/thing above and any input is always appreciated!)

Hey guys!

As promised I have a review today on the NYX rouge cream blush in “Glow“. So here it goes!

Image

FACTS:

Cost: $6 regularly, but I got it for around $3 on sale at Ulta

Amount: .12 oz. or 3.5 grams

Description: More delicious than peaches and cream? We like to think so. Our velvety smooth mineral Rouge Cream Blush offers a sheer wash of radiant color. The glorious payoff is dewy, sultry and long-lasting.

Glow is a pretty pink with coral and plum undertones to it. On the right of the two swatches is just one sweep of the blush, so you can see how crazy pigmented it is! On the left is a little bit blended out which is what I normally do, and blended out it not only becomes more wearable but it also seems like a lighter pink, which I like.

PROS:

  • Affordable!
  • Wonderfully pigmented, which also means you do not have to use very much.
  • Long lasting. I would say it lasts around 4 hours on me, and I have very oily skin so that is pretty impressive for a cream blush!
  • The color is bright and fun and GREAT for summer.

CONS:

  • My one issue is that the blush can feel a little sticky when applying it. It does still blend out pretty well and looks fine, but the texture is certainly a little sticky but not enough to make me not want to use it.

Overall, I like it, a lot! I am going to purchase even more NYX cream blushes because I wear this one all the time. I do recommend it!

Sincerely,

KS

Favorite Summer Wedges!

28 Jun

Hello!

I know I have not posted in a while but life has just been crazy! Anyway, onto my favorite wedges.

During summer, wedges are the only heels I wear. They give me an extra boost of height without looking too dressy. I am not into spending too much money on summery shoes because I feel like they really do not get worn all that much (summer is only like 2-3 months!) so I do not want to invest in them. But I still like cue shoes…who doesn’t!?!?

So here are my favorite wedges this summer:

Image

First (these are in no particular order!) is these silver American Eagles wedges with ruffles. These are crazy comfortable and too cute. NOTE: American eagle is a brand sold at Payless Shoes I do not believe it is associated to the American Eagle Outfitters clothing (Redundant?!) brand.

Second is from Wally world and it is the Max Rave brand. I know these are kind of out there

because they are a bright orange color but it is so summery!

Third is more of a business casual look. They are by the brand George and are just simple black wedges with a bit of wood work on the sides.

AND lastly is these strappy, brown wedges from Maurices. They have cute little cut out designs on the top that I adore!

I know this is just a really quick post and I will try to get more stuff with better content up soon!

KS

Review: ELF Studio Tinited Moisturizer

19 Jun

Image

Today I am going to review an old(er) product that has been previously very hyped up because I feel like it 🙂 As you can see above the review is on ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer so here it goes!

Image

FACTS:

Cost: $3

Amount: .7 Oz.

Options: 7 shades ranging from Porcelain to Espresso. Not great, not terrible range.

Description: (From ELF) “This lightweight and hydrating formula is breathable and provides anti-aging sun protection with UVA/UVB SPF 20. Achieve even skin tone and naturally radiant skin with this moisturizing sheer tint of color. The smooth formula enhances your complexion with the nourishing key ingredients Aloe, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & ”

Image

It is extremely light coverage which is exactly what I have been wanting lately, something light that barely feels there but with a bitter of color to neutralize my face and brighten it up. Not to mention the SPF 20.

PROS:

  • The formula. It is very easy to apply, it is smooth and light. It is also very moisturizing!
  • Pretty long lasting for how light coverage it is. I would say it lasts from 6-10 hours depending on what I am doing, the weather, etc..
  • It is so light weight that it honestly doesn’t feel like there is anything on my face.
  • CHEAP! Need I say more!

CONS:

  • If you want coverage, go somewhere else…
  • The scent, not sure what to think of it. The sunscreen is mixed with the aloe and cucumber which just doesn’t work.

Overall, I like it. Not the most amazing product out there but good enough for a tinted moisturizer and pretty darn good for the affordability.

Sincerely,

KS
